Class of 1983 to Hold Reunion

Acid-washed jeans, Madonna songs, neon accessories, and television’s Dynasty marked the early 80s — a time when Weston’s class of ‘83 left School Road for college and other life endeavors.

Class members will revisit their youth at their 40th Weston High School Reunion on Saturday, May 6 at the Saugatuck Rowing Club, 521 Riverside Avenue, Westport at 6:30 pm.

Many former Westonites have returned to raise families back in town or Fairfield County at large. Classmates near and far are invited to celebrate this milestone and help spread the word.

The Friday, May 5 reunion outing is a cash bar gathering at Rizzuto’s Oyster Bar & Restaurant, 540 Riverside Avenue, Westport at 7:00 pm, while Saturday, May 6 will be the main event for ‘83 graduates.

The Rowing Club evening will feature cocktails, buffet dinner, and party favors. The cost per person is $125 and the dress is casual. Checks should be made out to Aline Weiller and mailed to her attention at P.O. Box 556, Georgetown, CT 06829-0556 by Sunday, April 30. Or contact Aline at weiller@optonline.net for the Venmo option. If not, payment for 1983 alumni will be $150 at the door.

Friends and siblings in neighboring classes are invited to “crash” by joining us on Friday evening or coming to the entire dinner Saturday night ($125 payment in advance). Or, come at 9:00 pm for a $30 at-the-door admission. Details regarding the weekend will also appear on the Class of ‘83 Facebook page.
