In a podcast by Dick Kalt of the Y’s Men of Westport-Weston, First Selectwoman Samantha Nestor discusses the abuse by two Weston residents of the Freedom of Information Act, according to the state FOI Commission.

She says it follows the pattern of a “playbook” across the country to “radicalize FOIA” based on “a conviction that government is somehow working against the people.”

The couple, she says, also “bombards us with abusive emails” and Facebook posts, “in the belief there is a grand conspiracy” by volunteers who work to make the community better.

New editions of the podcast appear on Mondays, alternating between Ms. Nestor and Westport First Selectwoman Jen Tooker.
