The Weston Education Foundation welcomes nominations for its Elizabeth W. Stokes Founder’s Award, which recognizes and rewards a teacher who has provided a unique or unusual experience outside the classroom to Weston students as part of the curricular experience.
The award was established in 2020 — the foundation’s 25 anniversary — in honor of Ms. Stokes, a longtime Weston resident who founded WEF in 1994.
The Founder’s Award seeks to recognize and reward a teacher who has provided a unique or unusual experience outside the classroom to Weston students as part of the curricular experience.
Any current Weston student or their parent or guardian may nominate a teacher for the award, which is a cash gift of $1,000. The deadline for nominations is March 1. The recipient will be announced during Teacher Appreciation Week in May.
More information, including nomination criteria and the nomination form may be found on the foundation’s website.
WEF is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to promoting educational innovation and creativity in the Weston schools and community. Find out more at westoneducationfoundation.org.
