Driver Dies After March 31 Crash

A 62-year-old Cos Cob resident died on March 31 following a one-vehicle crash on Weston Road near High Acre Road.

At press time, the cause of death has not been reported, nor has the cause of the accident. A crash investigation is underway by the Weston Police Department and the accident investigation unit of the Fairfield Police Department.

Weston Police officers responded to a report of an accident at 2:07 pm on the 31st along with members of the Weston Volunteer Fire Department and Weston EMS. The driver of the vehicle, its sole occupant, sustained injuries and was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
