Candlelght Vigil for Ukraine, Monday

A statement on Ukraine from First Selectwoman Samantha Nestor:

The Russian invasion of Ukraine is devastating, infuriating, and heartbreaking. I assure you all that you are not alone in feelings of despair. One thing we can do is come together for the sake of unity and peace.

As such, please join me on Monday February 28th at 5:30 pm on the front steps of the Town Hall to express in solidarity our support for the Ukrainian people, and pray for the safety of those whose homeland is under attack.

I’ll be there with my candle, feel free to bring one of your own.

Gandhi’s Prayer for Peace

I offer you peace
I offer you love
I offer you friendship
I see your beauty
I hear your need
I feel your feelings
My wisdom flows from the highest source
I salute that source in you
Let us work together
For unity and peace.
