Key Meetings Coming Up: Lachat, Housing

Two important meetings take place in the next few days, a hearing by the Lachat Town Farm Commission and a P&Z workshop about affordable housing.

Lachat, Thursday evening

Your thoughts about activities and a proposed new building at Lachat Town Farm are on the agenda of a hearing on Thursday evening, May 13.

The Lachat Town Farm Commission special meeting starts at 7:30.

The major focus will be on guidelines the Commission proposes for the number, type, times, and capacity of events at the Farm.

The Commission has heard a lot from neighbors of the Farm in the past several weeks, some of whom object to programming leaders of the Farm have in mind. The hearing is intended to continue the discussion with neighbors and to hear from everyone else.

Affordable housing, Monday evening

A second Planning and Zoning Commission public workshop on the affordable housing plan being developed, with the assistance of consultants SLR, takes place on Monday evening, May 17. It starts at 7:00.
