Babe Ruth baseball offers players 13 and 14 years old who have aged out of traditional Little League an opportunity to get ready to move up a full-size field and keep playing the game they love.
Registration is open now. It closes on March 29.
The program is designed with a personalized approach to individual and team skills development for future high school and recreational play. The focus is on core fundamentals, strategic and situational play, and developing a healthy mental approach to a long-term engagement with the game.
The spring season should start around April 1, with veteran Weston coaches and professional training development. The season ends in the first week of June.
Players must commit to three and sometimes more days a week. 12 to 14 games are played at Revson Field and other locations in Fairfield County.
Covid-19 protocols are observed at practices and games. Baseball has the advantage of being an outdoor sport. There were no health issues in the fall season.
