Weston Kiwanis runs its annual food drive on Saturday, November 21 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at Weston Shopping Center.
The items you donate, including those you purchase specifically to help out, go straight to the Weston Food Pantry.
Cash donations and electronic fund transfers are also welcome. The money is used to purchase gift cards that are distributed to approved families served by the Food Pantry. The easiest way is to Venmo funds directly to @Weston-Foodpantry.
All non-perishable items such as tuna, pancake mix, macaroni and cheese, soups, pasta (any kind), tomato sauce, mayonnaise, salad dressing, jelly, peanut butter, beans, canola and olive oils, syrup, and juices in a box can be donated.
Also helpful are donations of paper towels, toilet paper, toothpaste, deodorant, soap, shampoo, and laundry detergent. Dog food and cat food donations are always appreciated.
The Weston Food Pantry is a 501(c)(3) organization. Run by volunteers, it is entirely dependent on grocery donations and financial contributions from neighbors, clubs, schools, and companies.
