Build Stuff. On the Building Committee

A seat on the Building Committee has opened up, and the Town is particularly interested in candidates who are licensed architects with commercial or institutional experience.

The Building Committee advises the Board of Selectmen and other officials about town-owned property, including design, planning, construction, contracting, and closing-up projects. It issues requests for proposals, recommends selection of architects, engineers, and contractors, negotiates contracts, and presents them to the Selectmen for approval.

The committee oversees Town-related and school district capital construction. Members are currently active in a number of projects at the Town Hall campus and at the schools. Members cannot bid on contracts for Town projects.
