About Us
Started in 2018 by Garrett and Cat Minyard (photo, left), former NCAA Division I and professional volleyball players, Northeast Volleyball Club (NEVBC) trains young athletes to develop high-level skills in a professional and growth-oriented environment. From the beginning, our goal has been to build volleyball culture in the Northeast.
Last summer, we moved Northeast Volleyball Club to the Northeast Athletic Center (formerly known as SONO Field House) in South Norwalk (photo above), finally bringing an elite volleyball training center to our region. The Northeast Athletic Center is now home to six professional-caliber indoor volleyball courts, a varsity weight room, indoor turf area for rentals and youth classes, and more!
At Northeast Volleyball Club, we work constantly to grow the sport of volleyball in the Northeast region by training and developing athletes of all levels in a positive, professional, and growth-oriented environment. We believe that volleyball is more than just a game; it is an opportunity to build character, friendships, and a sense of community.
Programs
Throughout the year, we offer many different programs for athletes of all ages and levels. In the 2022-2023 season alone, over 400 athletes ages 10-18 were part of our Winter Girls and Boys Club programs at the Open, Club, and Regional levels. In June 2022, our U17 Boys team won the USA Volleyball National Championship, and in the past 5 years, we have sent over 50 athletes playing in college or committed to play in college after their NEVBC careers, including UConn, Fordham, Boston College, BYU, Northeastern, Hamilton, Amherst, and more.

For athletes new to the sport or looking to improve their skills, we offer Mini-Volley (coed grades 1-4), Middle School All Skills (coed grades 5-7), and High School All Skills (coed grades 8-12). We have designed our programs and curriculum to expose all athletes to training that will improve their skills and help get them to the next level and develop a love of the game. Summer 2023 @ NEVBC
This summer, Northeast Volleyball Club is offering a variety of Summer Camps and Classes for players of all ages and levels, all designed to provide players with intensive training in all aspects of the game. Our experienced coaches will work with players to develop their skills, improve their technique, and build their confidence on and off the court.
