Lachat Farmers Market, Friday, June 28

June 26, 2019 — The popular Farmers Market at Lachat Town Farm opens on Friday, June 28, from 4:00 to 8:00. You will enjoy great music, great food, and great offerings from artisans.

Our 2-1/2 minute video report (above) from the opening last year gives you a good idea of what attracted hundreds of visitors. This year's market promises to be bigger and even better.

It's about the most family-friendly event you can imagine. If you have young children between the ages of 3 and 12, Lachat is offering a terrific program in the children's garden called The Trees and Me. It's $5 per child. Kids learn about trees, create rubbings and pinecone decorations, get their faces painted if they want, and enjoy a visit from some of the farm's animals.

You can enjoy musical performances by the legendary Karl Schulz, Tangled Vine, and The Cukes.

Lachat's Farmers Market takes place on the last Friday of each month from June through October. A special holiday market runs in early December.
