A column just for Weston’s canine citizens, sponsored by Passage East Kennels.
Each week, we’ll introduce you to a pawsome dog neighbor as well as donate $10 to a local rescue group or animal shelter chosen by their humans. To be featured, please email email@example.com.
Meet Bo! A native of Virginia, Bo was part of a litter of puppies born to a stray dog in the back of a high school. This handsome hound mix and his adoptive family, Kathy, Jordan, Emily, Blake, & Caroline Wertlieb, have called Weston home for the past seven years. In addition to monitoring neighborhood activities from his post on the couch, Bo also serves as the family’s Chief Meatball Taste Tester.
Breed: Treeing Walker Coonhound mix.
Likes: Rawhide bones, going for walks where he can follow a scent to the end, sitting on the back of the couch so he can look out the window, getting the squeaker out of a stuffed toy.
Dislikes: Getting wet, loud noises, especially alarms or sirens, thunder storms.
Favorite Place to Nap: The couch.
Special Talents: He once ate 24 cooked meatballs that were on the kitchen counter without moving the plate.
How we met: "We got Bo as a puppy after seeing him on an adoption website when we were living in Baltimore. We met him and our kids fell in love with him. He was very cute."
Why he’s our best friend: "He is very friendly, loves exploring new places, and is always ready for anything!"
Donating to: PAWS (Pet Animal Welfare Society) of Norwalk, CT. Want to match Bo’s donation? Sit, stay, and visit https://www.pawsct.org/donate.
